Pay: $25.00–$42.50 per hour , based on experience and skill level

We are looking for an experienced Tool and Die Maker and/or Tool and Die Repair professional with a strong manual machining background and experience working in a job shop environment .

Important: Applicants without prior Tool and Die experience will not be considered.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for building, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and modifying tooling and dies. This position requires strong hands-on machining skills, the ability to read technical drawings, and experience working with metal stamping dies and tool steels.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on tooling and dies.
• Read and interpret layouts, blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and sketches.
• Fabricate and machine tooling components to precise specifications.
• Operate manual machinery including:
• Milling machines
• Lathes
• Drill presses
• Surface grinders
• Saws
• Other conventional machine tools
• Use precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools.
• Examine defective parts and tooling to determine the cause of defects and perform necessary repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on dies to maintain safe and reliable production.
• Work with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve tooling, processes, and product quality.
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout all machining and repair operations.
• Follow company safety procedures and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Tool and Die Maker experience.
• Minimum 1 year of metal stamping experience.
• Strong manual machining experience in a job shop environment.
• Experience building, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining stamping dies and tooling.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, layouts, schematics, and sketches.
• Experience operating manual mills, lathes, drill presses, surface grinders, and saws.
• Proficiency using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
• Knowledge of tool steels and their applications.
• Familiarity with commonly stamped materials, including:
• Cold-rolled steel
• Hot-rolled steel
• Galvanized steel
• Stainless steel
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to commute to Cypress, TX 77433 .

Compensation & Benefits
