Civil Engineering Internship

We are seeking a current Civil Engineering student for a paid summer internship at our headquarters in Spokane, WA. As a Civil Engineering Intern, you will assist our project management team with daily tasks and projects. This internship will run through the summer of 2027, with the possibility to extend.

Responsibilities:

• Assist project managers in coordinating construction activities, schedules and budgets
• Understanding and knowledge of the full scope of new construction and property improvement projects
• Communicate with contractors, vendors and suppliers to facilitate project needs
• Collaborate with project management to plan and develop project schedules
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, change orders, billings and prepare reports
• Participate in meetings and provide updates on project status
• Working on new designs, and special projects and preparing detailed drawings while ensuring on-time completion

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Qualifications:

• Skilled in Trigonometry and Geometry
• Proficiency in AutoCAD drafting, Inventor or similar drafting software
• Ability to read blueprints, construction documents, analyze and interpret building codes
• Ability to coordinate with municipalities, suppliers, contractors, customers and internal team members to discuss and document requirements/changes.
• Ability to inspect work in progress along with completed work and compose inspection reports
• Proficiency in Excel
• Full-time availability during summer break
• Valid driver's license
